PRIVACY
Updated October 21, 2026
This covers slab: the collection site, this portal, the API and the CLI. slab keeps what you put in it so it can show it back to you, records how the site is used so it can get better, and sells none of it.
WHAT SLAB COLLECTS
- Your account: the email address and sign-in details you sign up with.
- What you put in slab: your collection and what you record about it (grades, what you paid, costs), breaks and lots, targets, favorites, reactions, display cases, chases, and photos you add.
- How the site is used:the pages visited and what's done on them (a search run, a card added), the page that linked there, the browser and type of device, and an approximate location from the IP address. slab doesn't record your screen.
- API and CLI use: the requests made with your API keys.
HOW IT'S USED
To run slab (showing and valuing your collection, keeping you signed in) and to improve it (which pages and features get used, and where people get stuck). slab doesn't sell your information, doesn't show ads, and doesn't track you on other sites.
COOKIES
Signing in uses cookies; slab can't keep you signed in without them. Outside the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, slab also uses cookies to recognize a returning visitor: for usage analytics (and, when you're signed in, to tie them to your account) and to count a shared link's views once per reader. Inside those places, slab stores nothing else on your device: visits are counted anonymously and never tied to you or your account.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, slab's usage analytics don't run.
WHAT OTHERS CAN SEE
- Your collection is private unless you turn on its public link. Its values show only if you choose, and what you paid is never shown to anyone else.
- A display case or card you share is seen by whoever has its link.
- Your slab name, the random name slab gives you, appears beside what you make public: a public chase, a photo you add, and Community records.
- Reactions and targets are shown as counts, never by who made them.
WHO HELPS RUN SLAB
slab uses service providers for hosting, sign-in, storage and analytics: Vercel, Amazon Web Services, PlanetScale, Clerk and PostHog. They handle your information only to provide that service. It's stored in the United States.
YOUR CHOICES
You can change or delete anything in your collection at any time, and export it with the slab CLI. To have your account and everything in it deleted, or for any question about your information, ask in the slab Discord.
CHILDREN
slab isn't meant for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.
